Primel is a fun online math game that you should definitely try if you are interested in numbers. Primel's goal is not to predict a six-letter word but a five-digit prime using just six guesses.
You may think Primel is simpler than Wordle because you can only guess with 10 numbers, not 26 letters, but you need to keep in mind that you can only guess with prime numbers. Primel is not easier than Wordle. This game is purely math-based, and to be successful, you need to know quite a few primes.
How to go about it
If you are familiar with the idea of prime numbers, playing Primel should be easy for you.
To get started, just pick a five-digit prime number. Prime numbers are numbers that can only be divisible by themselves or by one. The primes are 11, 13, and 2,351. Other examples include 11 and 13.
You will get a set of tiles that are either green or yellow, depending on how close your number is to the prime that will be used for the day.
When there is a green box, the number you are looking for is in the right place. Getting a yellow tile indicates that you have the correct number of tiles, but they're not in the current location. You will have a total of six chances to choose the correct answer.
You can also test your skills with a brand new Primel quiz every day, just like you can with Wordle. If you want to give it a try but have trouble finding a five-digit prime, remember that the last digit can only be one, three, seven, or nine.
